Innovate 2009 Draws 1,500 to First Combined Client ConferenceIn August 2009, nearly 1,500 attended the first Innovate conference, which featured about 200 hours of product training, demonstrations of new capabilities, and thought-leadership classes. The event’s Tech Expo showcased more than 75 exhibits, reinforcing the depth and breadth of the company’s credit union solution portfolio, as well as information on products and services from third-party vendors. Jeff Yabuki, president and CEO for Fiserv, shared thoughts on the current economic situation, along with perspectives on how credit union leaders could emerge victorious from this environment. Other presenters included Chip Filson, president of Callahan and Associates, Inc.; Mark Sievewright, senior vice president of strategic marketing for Fiserv; and keynote Erik Wahl, a motivational speaker and artist who used the awe-inspiring paintings he created live on stage to reinforce his message.

With the event in Nashville, country music was the natural choice for the event’s entertainment. Trace Adkins—who has been a force in country music for more than a decade and is also known for becoming one of two finalists on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump—performed live in concert following the Wednesday night dinner.
